Setup Guide — TagNav by iCCRAFT
Show different navigation menus to different customer groups using Shopify customer tags.
1. Create your menus in Shopify
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Navigation.
- Create a menu for each customer group (for example:
main-menu, wholesale-menu, vip-menu).
- Note each menu's handle — it appears in the URL (
/admin/menus/wholesale-menu).
2. Add the theme block
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Open the Header section.
- Click Add block → search for TagNav by iCCRAFT → click to add.
- In the block settings, choose a Fallback menu (the menu shown when no rule matches, e.g.
main-menu).
- Leave Hide theme's default navigation turned on (default) so only this block's menu appears in your header. Turn it off only if your theme uses a custom nav that should remain visible.
- Click Save.
How it works: The block renders your fallback menu by default. When a logged-in customer with a matching tag visits the storefront, the block swaps its links to the menu defined by your rule. Visitors who are not logged in, or who have no matching tag, continue to see the fallback menu.
3. Tag your customers
In Shopify admin, go to Customers, open a customer, and add a tag like wholesale or vip. Tags must match exactly (case-sensitive) the value you enter in this app's rules.
4. Create your rules
In this app, go to Home → Add new rule and set:
- Customer tag: the exact tag from step 3 (e.g.
wholesale)
- Menu handle: the menu handle from step 1 (e.g.
wholesale-menu)
- Priority: lower number wins if a customer has multiple matching tags
Plans
- Free — 2 active rules
- Pro $9/month — 5 active rules
- Business $19/month — unlimited active rules
Disabled rules do not count toward your plan limit.
